    16ds2 Liteone Drive flashing

I have the correct VIA Sata controller, is it possible to flash this w/out purchasing a connectivity kit? Thanks!

yes just not recommended. you need a way to power the drive and dont use the xbox. certain fail... or ban flag at the very least.

You still need to probe a point to extract your drive's key. And the probe is powered by the connectivity kit.

I flashed my drive without purchasing anything .. I have made my own probe and used the xbox power cable to power it and successfully updated my drive.
There is alot of other places you can get help as well as tutorials just have to google your way through everything.
