    360 NOOB!! (Please Help) :) - :)

Ok so i got my 360 this past weekend and currently waiting for the funds to buy the CK-PRO (lite)... I went and picked up timeshift for 5 bucks from Gamestop and then went to Blockbuster and got the gamepass for the month.. hehehe (been playing halo reach all weekend) anyway!!!!!

some questions and hopefully you guess can help!

I have a Hitachi Drive (confirmed by JF pdf tut)
    1. I hear that the drive does not check for the AP2.5 (why and what does this give me)
    2. I will flash with LT+1.1 correct??(unless they release more by the time i get the programmer)

Stealthing game backups... So i got a backup of Timeshift just to check things out!
abgx i downloaded and i came up with two things...
    1. Everything checked out but the stealth was unconfirmed (not in database) so it said to put the stealth option to level 3 and try that... after it ran all the tests it says STEALTH patched... so for the heck of it i ran it again on the normal (2) setting and everything checked out (ALL GREEN)
    2. Does that mean that i would be SAFE to play on a XBL console or is there more that i have to do???

Thanks hopefully i made my self clear enough to understand!!!!

    1. AP25 is Anti Piracy V2.5; from what I've read, Hitachi by and large don't support AP25. There's a post here that mentions this is true for 46, 47 & 58, and 59. Later drives (78/79) are mentioned in the LT+ FAQ here that suggests to me later Hitachi drives may have AP25 support.

    2. Yes, exactly.

There is a TimeShift in the database here, but you'd need to verify it matches XEX CRC (abgx will give you this value). If it does not, do not use it. You can manually apply this patch if necessary, see this tutorial.

Which Hitachi you got and did you compare the XEX CRC to see if it matched?

I bought this XBox on the weekend. I'm wringing my hands on this one. That date of manufacture and lot # (0937X) come up mostly V1 Lite Ons, but there's a V2 and one of the 74XXX series. Everything in the XBox database shows this as about the point MS switched over to those difficult drives.

If this one has either of the latter two, it's gonna be a PITA --- won't be a straight flash. My G/F's cousin's XBox was an older box with a Benq --- straight up flash. The V2 or 74XXX series requires all sorts of hardware and trace cutting/resoldering (something I really do not want to get into).

The probe ain't gonna cut the traces and reconnect them though, lol. That's an awful lot of work to simply obtain the drivekey, then reverse the work just to flash/use/play.

Uh, Em that's the 74XXX series I mentioned. That doesn't involve physical trace cutting.
