Xbox 360 - flashing vs chipping

Hi guys!

Thinking of buying an xbox 360 slim (4GB model) and I'm looking at methods of modding it.

I've heard of flashing the drive and using chips like wasabi 360 and xk3y.

So I have a couple of questions to ask (some being related to your opinion):

1. Can the latest xbox (see above) be both flashed and chipped?

2. Which method is easier/better? Which one did you use?

3. What flashing tools are required? Just an xbox to USB adapter?

4. I like both wasabi dx and xk3y as they look really cool. Which one would you recommend and what are the significant differences?

5. What difference does it make if you flash or chip?

If u flash your drive it is detectable via xbox live and might get u banned with a wasabi or xkey eventually should be live safe and u don't need to flash the drive.

So an xk3y or wasabi is a better option as they may receive firmware updates that allow you to play on xbox live, right?

Also, it looks like those chips are easier to install than flashing a drive.

So other than the fact that it is free, there is no other advantage to flashing?

To be honest to flash the drive u have to buy stuff that comes to about the same price as a chip but of course it all depends on what drive is in the xbox. I've flashed my old phat xbox but have ordered a wasabi for my new slim. I think the xode will be out shortly too, so that might be worth looking into

Ok then I'll probably stick with the xk3y or wasabi as the xbox that I'm interested in is the latest 4GB model.

Really? Then does that mean there is no way to mod them yet?

By the way, do you need to extract the key of the drive if you are using xk3y or wasabi?

In other words, do you mean that some xboxes will not work with xk3y or wasabi?
