brand new wode not able to read from hard drive

I just received my new wode and connected it and a external HD. The wode will recognize my HD, but it does not find the iso files. I even tried to download the wode test iso file and it won't read it.
The hard drive has a directory in the root called ISO and that is where I put my ISO files.
My wode has the latest firmware installed. My wii has no softmods and it is version 4.3U
I am currently trying to rip a dvd to see if it finds the ripped iso file.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!

EDIT: it took several hours to rip the game, but the wode does see the .iso, however, when I attempt to load it, nothing happens, i see the drive light flash a few times and nothing happens.
Does this sound like a defective wode?

I just emailed modchipsdirect to ask for help, I hope they stand behind their product and help me.

Does your wode see the test ISO you downloaded if placed on a SD drive?

From what you have described - ripping taking hours - there is something not right with your installation. Ripping to FAT takes minutes. To NTFS tens of minutes not hours.

Might be a good idea to change the name of your ISO folder to lower case worth a try.

I did try renamming the ISO folder to lower case, no luck.
No, the wode does not see even the test .iso file. The wode can only see the game that it ripped.
modchipdirect emailed me back right away today and thinks its my HD or cable, so later today I will be swapping that out.

If the WODE does not see the test ISO on a SD card then it is your installation that is faulty. I agree a cable could be the case. But am a bit perplexed as to how the WODE will see a game you have ripped if it is unable to see anything else. This is a strange one. Please keep us informed as I think I might learn something new here. Sorry to hear about your troubles but I can assure you WODE is worth it in the end.

    R_N_B, My problem is fixed!
The HD was not compatible, I switched out the HD and it works perfectly!
My ripping times are now great and I can see the other .iso files as well. I am ordering a new HD today.
My fault for misunderstanding you, I was trying to find the test .iso on the old HD, not the SD card.
From what I can see of the wode so far, I love it!

    Thanks!
