I just Downgraded a Black Wii (bought this year) from 4.3E using the tutorial and all has went well but now Gamecube games wont work with the WODE (they were working on 4.3E). So im thinking if i can Virginize 4.1E then GC games will work again via the WODE. Unless someone out there has a better suggestion?
EDIT: Just tried using an Original Gamecube Disc via Flat Mode, i just get a black screen...which is what i get via WODE as well....
you say a black wii? They have dvd drives that can't read burnt games...
or are you talking about original GC discs?

Since this is a WODE related issue I've moved your post to the WODE forum so you can get appropriate help from the right people.
He is talking about usb loading GC games through his WODE device.

when the wii is in GC mode, the ios's aren't used. Changing them wouldn't make a difference.
Since you updated to 4.3, then downgraded, you should have the newest BC and MIOS (things the wii uses for GC mode)...

I dont think my problem has anything to do with the WODE, as i can disconnect it, Load an Orginal GC disc and still get the same problem. The WODE is transparent in this case.Quote:

the 4.3 softmod guide does install a cmios.
that could be your problem there. download mios v10 with NUSD, and install with wad manager
pack as wad (NUSD) and select a patched ios to install (wad manager)
Probably need to reinstall BC and/or MIOS would be my best guess, but I'm neither a gamecube person nor a WODE person. You can use DOP-Mii to do so or download them from NUSD. Both guides are in the tutorials section.
