My WODE came, WOO! And it's not working, BOO!

Wode has come, installed it and tried to load games (COD: BO, NBA Jam, Sonic Colours) from external HDD, it recognises them but when you click start, the wiimote dies and i get a nice black screen???

I'm on 3.4E (I think?!) so, with these being newer games, is it that I need to update? And how can I do that? I plan to play PAL games but would like to keep the door open so 4.2E would be best, right?

    Thanks in advance.

First thing to do is to make sure you have connected your WODE correctly. So can you answer the following questions please.

    1. Did you download the latest manual from the offical WODE site?
    2. What guide did you use to install the WODE?
    3. Have you double checked that all your USB cables are correctly connected. HDD to the WODE not the Wii

If you wish to upgrade your firmware then 4.1E is the best for you. Not 4.2E or later.

However let us sort out the first problem before you create another shall we

    Thank R_N_B.

Updated to 4.2E after waiting for a response here and now things work fine (except COD: BO, which requires a iOS?)

    Quite right it does.

Now if you have the original disc or a 1:1 ripped copy of an original disc with the update partition included you can simply install that IOS. I would suggest also going and have a read on the official WODE support forum, there is heaps and heaps of good stuff there.

    Cheers for the heads-up R_N_B.

I'm off to the official site now.
