Needs Wode a working dvd drive???

    Hi to all.

I have a wii with a defective dvd drive.
I think the pcb board is defective.
I replaced the laser and still no disc were recognized.
I have a wode with latest firware installed on this wii.
When I turn on the wii, this happens.
    1. When I turn on my Wii, the blue light blinks and turns off, and that's all it does... Eject doesn't work.. And I can't put any disc into the drive..
    Wode firmware 2.1, leatest
After removing Wode the Wii starts normal.
    Checked all flat cables.

    Can somebody help me!!

The latest firmware is the ripping firmware = ripping means copying the disc, therefore it needs a DVD drive that works.

Downgrade to 1.28 and you will not need a DVD drive. Firmware 1.28 is the best for game playing imo.

    Problem solved.

I used a power supply from Hong Kong, it has high freq. interferance.
Know I use my original wii power supply and the problems are gone.
Maybe these power supply blow up the blue tooth modules, I had that too.
    Thanks for helping.
