    Good news for Wodeflow & DVDx

    People on 4.3 with no DVDx cannot yet use wodeflow, or can they?

    sbarnie has posted this on the wode site in this thread.
    WWW.WODEJUKEBOX.ORG • View topic - Hackmii Installer V0.7

    Its as simple as editing the meta.xml file for no ios reload.

    Hi everybody,

    not sure that I'm saying soemthing new and apologies if I am not, but... Wodeflow is working on system menu 4.3 after installing Hackmii v0.7 and HBC v1.0.7. This is what I've done: I was on 4.2E with the previous version of HBC installed, and I've upgraded to the new version using the new installer at BootMii.org, launched through the BHC (I've put the installer in a new directory in the apps forlder).

    After this, I've upgraded to 4.3E. The HBC was not deleted, but DVDX was, so wodeflow was not working. What I did was using the advice given at http://hackmii.com/:
    Quote:
    ■HBC now has the HW_AHBPROT flags set for direct hardware access, thus replacing DVDX.
    ■Ability to not reload IOS when launching an application.
    This effectively means that loaded applications inherit the title id, gaining direct hardware access via HW_AHBPROT.
    To use this feature, add <no_ios_reload/> to the <app> node in your meta.xml file.
    wiiloaded binaries automatically gain direct hardware access.
    libogc SVN (starting with r4166) has been extended for this feature. DI_Init() will detect if an application has been launched this way, and DVD access should just work without any changes to your code.

    This is what I did and the wodeflow meta.xml file now looks like this:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
    <app version="1">
    <name>WODEflow</name>
    <coder>r-win</coder>
    <version>0.1</version>
    <release_date>201004210000</release_date>
    <short_description>WODE Cover Flow</short_description>
    <long_description>This is beta software, use at your own risk!
    WODEflow is a port of the popular Wiiflow originally created by Hibernatus and ported to work with the WODE hardware.
    -This software is protected under GNU General Public License v3
    -Requires a working installation of DVDX.
    -Some GC games don't start (like Killer 7 and others)
    -The loader may freeze when downloading covers
    Thanks to:
    Hibernatus,Narolez, hulkhodn for Wiiflow and all the Themer's for their hard work and support, lustar and WiiTDB for the amazing covers,#wode IRC channel on EFNet for the endless testing and of course TheArtificer
    </long_description>
    <no_ios_reload/>
    </app>

    Wodeflow is now working perfectly on 4.3E

    Reagards

    John nice share - have you seen any verification of this or possibly tested it yourself?

    rduke has tested it and it works.
    I have the new HBC but chose to keep DVDx.
    I'm still on 4.1E.

    Nice to hear from you.

    Yes there is. Here is a guide to install wodeflow on a 4.3.

    Once the 4.3 has been modded and you have wodeflow as a HBC app, you can then make your own forwarder.
    Either use customizmii or crap.

    Thank you wiijohn, I managed to install HBC and wodeflow is working fine.

    The only 'problem' I have is that I just don't understand how to create a forwarder/channel, is there a easy tutorial somewhere for this ?
