    Drivekey2 and Wode compatibility.

Did not find an answer for this in all searches I tried. I would like to get a Wode and need to know if I can keep my Drivekey2 installed in the wii, or will I have to remove it? If it does not need to be removed, just out of curiosity, would I still be able to use the Drivekey2 to play back up discs, or will the Wode override the Drivekey2 functions? Any compatibility issues or problems with having both installed on a wii? (I'm thinking that if the the Wode is in flat mode, then the back up games would read through the Drivekey2 and then to the Wode?)

There are members who have kept their drivekey in to play back up discs.

Of course the thing with the WODE is if you have a back up disc why not just make an ISO of it using Imageburn and play it via your hard drive. Not sure that having the ability to play a back up disc with the WODE is needed.

Well from what I've read they will work together but they wont fit very well but the good thing is the WODE does all the same things as the Drivekey and more so the decision to keep both installed is yours alone and when the WODE is in Flat mode it can play your burnt discs as well as your original ones quite fine.

The fitting part is a mission but doable. Thanks favs for reminding me of that.

Ok, very good to know thank you guys. Removing the Drivekey2 was just an extra step in the process (even though it would only take a few seconds to disconnect), but if it's a little tricky getting the Wode and Drivekey2 to fit, then I might as well remove the Drivekey and make my life a little easier. Thanks again!

Was about to start a thread asking this, but could as well ask it in this existing thread

Will the Wode work with an Argon 1 as well, without any problems?
Would there be any problem with BCA protection, since the Wode has it but Argon has not, or would the Wode simply override the Argon?

Lots of folks here who have chips in their Wii you might get a more informed answer. But I think we have basically covered your question on the WS forum. If you are the same bloke asking about Argon.
