3.3U to 4.1 - or General Firmware update.

Hi guys.., I am trying to figure out what game do I need to run in order to update my firmware. I know there is talk in other thread about updating firmware
    and whether it's even needed.

I am trying to access the net with Wii and shopping channel (do I even need it?) wans to update me to 4.2 (I asume). Then again.., Netflix is coming up with steaming for Wii this spring and I am sure they will require some kind of update to get their software working properly.

My Wii is not softmoded and I have a WODE that runs my game from an external HD.

Everything I've tried seems to work fine with the exception of FFCC Crystal Bearers that seems to BSOD after hitting Start with 200 reads/6155KBs.
and Guitar Hero 5 243/7534 (but then again I dont expect this to work until I actually get the required accesories., lol). Could this be related to my 3.3 firmware?

    Thanks

As far as I am aware the only game that will update you to 4.1 is NSMB.

    Hope that helps.

Hmm, I wonder if there is a way of telling with WiiScrubber if my ISO has the update portion unstripped.

Do you have NSMB running from ISO. If so that means its a full ISO and not scrubbed.
If you take off the 'don't accept updates on the Wode', this will update the Wii to 4.1 Only do this if you are unmodded.

Endless Ocean 2 has the 4.2 update, don't use that as that will prevent you using out of region games.

Important, all these games should be the same region as your Wii if you doing an update.

Thanks for your reply., the info is just what I needed.
I had an ISO that I loaded to WBFS HD.
Just got a full unmodded ISO again...,, so we'll see when I update tonight.
