Is there some type of conversion method that should be done on an 4.37gb .iso to bring the total down?
I'm getting my external setup and trying to figure just how big a partition to dedicate now and in the long run. I don't believe I've seen anything around explaining this.

Just an FYI:
the file size of the ISO is really just a check. If a game is 4.37gb then it usually means the game ri/copy is good.
WBFS will convert it for you. Just follow 1 of the easy to follow guide here :).
To estimate your partition, consider the game ISOs, when installed to the WBFS partition will average 2-3GB. Examples: NSMB 0.39GB, Dead Space Extraction 4.16GB, A Boy and His Blob 1.13GB, MLB Superstars 0.45GB.
I just used 250 GB for my games and leave them in ISO format on a NTFS drive. Makes it so simple for hard disk management between the different PC's in the house.
I guess it depends on how many games you want the HD to hold..., if you have only a few games then with ISO you get easier management, if you have more need for space then WBFS is a way to go. Keeping a 4.5GB ISO for a 300Mb game is crazy at that point.
Besides it's not that hard to install WBFS Manager on multiple computers. ;)

It is not a loader mate. It is a optical disk emulator. It simply fools the Wii into thinking that a disk has been inserted. To exit the loaded ISO you have press eject for example just like a real Wii disk.Quote:
