    Question WODE ripping thoughts

Just wondering what anyone with a WODE thinks of the new ripping feature because I personally think its freaking AWESOME as I can now rip all my rare GC games and its pretty fast too.

I agree with you Favs, its great. I only have an NTFS formatted drive but I have ripped two original discs one to iso and the other to wbfs.
By all accounts FAT32 is the quickest, but I'll live with my NTFS for now.

I'm waiting for WBFS support but until then I'll keep using GX to dump my games.

Yes I use GX, its so simple if you are softmodded as well as Wode. I also try and do things without using the softmod features, lets face it thats what people want from a wode.

When you say WBFS you of course mean the hard drive format - and as far as I know WBFS will not be supported in the future. There really is no need for that particular drive format anymore with the WODE since the wbfs game format is supported on NTFS, Fat32 and Ext3. There was a need for a WBFS formatted drive with other USB loaders but not with the WODE.

If thats the case then I'll stick to using the WODE ripping featuure for my GC discs and GX for my Wii discs as I don't have an NTFS partition on my drive.

FAT32 since the gc ISOs are small enough to be used without problem and also so that I can keep them separate from my wii games.

If you have a FAT32 partition I would simply rip my games to that partition using the ripping function and have the WODE rip the games to wbfs game format. Even if the games are dual sided the WODE will split them and it is a peace of cake to transfer once the games (either single layer or dual layer) are ripped.
