i would try 3.2, since 3.4 blocks fake signed games, and that might be your issue, but you can also try IOS 51, and patch it
3.4v firmware, wiikey2 no homebrew. All the backup games work fine. However, trouble with updating/gamecube
Hey all,
I tried to update my wiikey 2. I burned the config file from wiikey 2's site. DVD loaded fine (game the gamecube icon appeared). Yet, after selecting the DVD, the menu load, but the remote stopped working. I was able to see the update options, but couldn't select any.
However, when I went to hit the reset button on the wii, it actually started changing it selection (all regions on/off) each time i hit the reset button (would not reset the wii, it would just move the option from off to on or on to off.
The same thing happened when I loaded a N64 disc. Gamecube icon appeared, click, menu loaded, the remote lost connection, and I couldn't select a thing.
Ideas?
I was thinking to load homebrew and downgrade firmware to 3.2, but wasn't sure if that would do much.
Thanks![]()

The reset button is what you use for the config disc,
As for games, I think you may need a gamecube controller??
Guide for New People |--------| Free RB2 DLC
they would need to load, for that to be the anwser, since it was never said if they did or didnt i assume they didnt, if they happened to, then you MUST use the GC controller with the GC games, and the reset/power work as part of the ultility disc
You all are quick lol. No iso of N64 games did not mention to use a gamecube controller.
So you think my best bet is to downgrade and/or patch?
i think it is to buy a gamecube controller =P, since almost every single GC game needs the controllerOriginally Posted by crashohverload [Only Registered Members May View Links| Click here to register]
its most likely the gamecube controller because the wii has to load up the gamecube emulator then (so it kind of turns into a gamecube soft ware wise) so yeah borrow a gamecube controller from sumone
I actually installed the virtual console. Therefore, my problem is solved. Thanks for the help all. :-)
