Installed Wiikey 2 - Now What?

I just received my wiikey 2 (with yellow sticker and solderless clip) and I installed it into my wii system (v3.3u and a D2E chipset) by just snapping the clip over top of the D2E chip.

I have some NTSC games burned and was just wondering if there is anything else I need to do before trying them out such as updating firmware on the wii or on the wiikey2.

I'm searching for some help but I thought I would post this question as well to make sure I'm not following some old or wrong advice.

    Thanks.

If you check the installation instructions for the wiikey2 it says put in an own region game (meaning a game from your country - easiest explanation) first so that the wiikey knows that region it is, Also you could download the config disc and load that it and turn on block updates etc!

Also you should get zelda twilight princess and the twilight hack, install homebrew channel and downgrade to firmware 3.2

Just so happens that I did put one of my original games in first to make sure that they still worked so that probably set my region like you said.

Then I started popping in the backups and they are all working like a charm.

Didn't touch the 3.3 firmware yet and probably won't unless I notice problems.

This ended up being simple and it is so awesome.

    Thanks for the help.

No worries, You would only want to change the firmware if you want to use homebrew etc as the 3.3 firmware makes some of the apps for homebrew not work, So then it would be good to downgrade to 3.2 to get the full function out of it....

    Glad it all working.
