    Cool WiiKey2 Wont Work

Hey Everyone, I fairly new to this, I just ordered my Wiikey2 from Foundmy.com...Had a terrible time with them, took over 30 days to finally arrive. It got here, and I decided to get the pre-soldered WiiClip (V14 Clip). I have a D2B drive with the pins cut. When I put the chip in and turn the Wii on, the chip flashes red to blue twice, and the system turns on, but the CD drive does not start up as it normally does when I turn the system on. I can also not eject the CD...as soon as I take the clip off, it functions normally. Do I need to dremel any connections points off? I thought the purpose of buying the clip was so that the work was taken out for u, and it could be clipped on and working within minutes...anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this??

only point A,B,C and GND/3v3 should be soldered. The rest of the pins should be blocked off.

Also check wii-clip for WIIKEY,D2CKEY,D2CPRO,ARGON,D2PRO, WASABI and DMS,D2A,D2B,D2C for wii console! to make sure you have a v14 wiiclip, should be red.

I bought it pre-soldered...it is a V14 chip, its red and matches the image on Wii-CLip.com, plus foundmy.com is an authorized distributor of them...When I ordered it, it was pre-soldered, and they connected all points to the Chip (A,B,C,D,E,F,G,V3, and GND) How do I go about cutting the connection for D,E,F, & G? Should I buy a soldering iron, and make the solder for those points hot, and remove them, or should I use some other method?

Wow, they should have asked you what kind of drive chip was in your machine first.

    For the D2A, DMS, and D2B ... connections A, B, C, V3, and GND only.

Desoldering is an art. You can try a number of methods, but make sure you're using the correct soldering tip. Also, 150W isn't needed, try to find something lower like 30.

Be that as it may they used to put it on a v4c clip instead of v14, so the information was needed to help. If you didnt realize we are also authorized distributors for them and wiikey, so we would know whom else is

to get rid of DEFG best way is to desolder them, and block off the connections. Otherwise you can cut them with a stanley knife or even scissors may do.
