WiiKey Stopped Working
Wiikey 1 over a year old. Running 1.9S (U.S.). Console has the latest updates from N*.
Everything has been working great now all of a sudden it won't read burned disk and says to consult the manual (old or new games). Bails after the put the strap on screen. It plays store bought fine!! It also reads the Wiikey config and update disk without a problem. I went back through the config and I also applied the 1.9x update again. Nothing changed.
My Wii hasn't been moved. The chip was soldered in (after digging out the pins).
It acts as if the WiiKey is not functioning. But it reloaded the 1.9S without any problems and with the config loading without any problems, I think the WiiKey is OK???? Any ideas?????
Any help before this XMAS season would be greatly appreciated.

My WiiKey Stopped Working Too
Sorry to hear about your Wii. I too have a similar problem. I've had my WiiKey for a year and a half, and now it will only read original discs. The only thing that I can think of is that I recently added the Twilight hack to my wii and since it was already at 3.4U firmware, I downgraded the firmware so I could get the twilight hack to work. For a while I couldn't even load wad files. But after many hours of trying and re-trying the various steps involved with the hack, I now have it loading wad files again. However, I've tried loading my backups using Gekco Os and it gives me "Error : No DVD". I've also tried using DJ Taz's Gamma Loader and all I get is a lot of noise from the DVD drive and a black screen. I've also used loaders available on the homebrew browser such as Cashman's Wii loader and GC Boot and neither of them work for me. And on the regular disc channel, any disc that is not original is unreadable. I would appreciate any help!
I did come across a Wiikey Recovery file that is suposed to reflash the wiikey epromp. If your looking for the file just google "wiikey 1.9 recovery".
Try using the Recovery Disc 1.9 ...i had the same problem...it corrected it.
