    D2e Wiikey2 Install

I first tired, to mod my wii with a wasabi v.2 and a V5 clip. Both wasabi and consolesource.com told me that they would work on my D2e. At this point i did not know too much about wii mods. So i went to wii-clip.com and found out how to install my clip and chip as provided in my wasabi package. I did the install and i got no drive movement. Also i noticed my IC legs where bent in where the clip made contact. So i went back to wii-clip and found out that consolesource.com sells fake clips. Then i heard about the wiikey2 and the 6 wire install with a yellow serial with a D2e. Went to the website and they looked legit and had a good diagram on how to install the chip.

I am very happy with Wiikey

good stuff although the 30 gauges look a little bit thin for the 3.3V and GND, I would suggest doubling up the wires there so the current per power wire is cut in half since they are in parallel.

the difference is so small that it does not actually matter about doubling the wire.

What gauge wire should be used for 3.3v and GND?

Did a install with 30 gauge, did another with 28. Both seems to work so you might be fine either way.
