wiikey2 - system files corrupted.
I have a wiikey2 and have had success running backups for a couple of years. Recently, I started getting a "system files corrupted" message after exiting a game and going back to the system menu. Often a reboot would fix this, but sometimes I'd have to power it off and pull the plug to get it to come back. Sometimes it would take a few tries.
Recently, I've got the message and have been unable to get it back to the system menu.
Because I thought I was safe, I've been keeping up to date with the system menu updates. I guess I'm at 4.2 or 4.3. I believe I updated within the last few weeks. The problem didn't occur immediately.
Could this just be a general Wii failure? Is there any way for me to troubleshoot this? I don't think I've updated my wiikey2 firmware (when the release came out for SMB - we just bought the game instead).
Any possible solutions? I'd hate to have to buy a new one. If I did, what is the best solution out there for new hardware... is it still softmods or is wiikey fusion a better solution for someone like me (who doesn't want to struggle with installing iOS's, etc).
I did do some searches on "system files corrupted" but didn't find anything specific to a hard-modded wii. Hopefully my searching didn't fail me.
