    Hunter,

I have tried turning off the wii and I did try to change the read speed and right after I did that was when the wii wouldnt read any backup or config disk. I am burning at 2x. What do I put the region update setting on?

    Hey Manny

You have to put the region update to that of your Wii. Is it a PAL or NSTC? Normally NSTC are North American but also other region, don't hold me to the rest, PAL are usually European and Asian countries.

If the chip, is proparly set, then check all your cables, one could be pinched, it easy to do once you close the console.

As you said, make sure you burn with the lattest Imgburn using -dvr Verbatin burned on an LG burner prefarably but any burner should work. And verify the disk after.

Yeah I set the region to NSTC as I live in New York and as far as pinching the cable I am having issues with the unit open. I am thinking that being this is the 2nd wiikey2 with clip maybe one of the pins on my board chip is bent. I am leaning towards soldering the chip. I just want to get as much info on the soldering as possible. I am not new to soldering (I used to MOD the original Play stations for my friends) but I am no expert. So any info or advise that anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated!!!

Did you have resin on your board when you got it, I hear you need to do a really good job to clean it off in order for the clip to sit properly, not as much as if you were to solder it.

Here take a look at this.

Wii's started shipping out with the resin some time ago, that's why I ask, if you don't clean it properly, the clip may not make a clean connection.

thanks for info but I do not have that resin. I just think these clips are not the best solution. The more I read about them the more I hear about people having issues with them. I think I am going to solder it.
