wiikey 2 1.3 w/4.2u not letting me play MarioKart

So i updated me wii to 4.2 frm 4.0 everything still works fine except i cannot play MK my other back ups play but not MK i changed to a NTSU since the region blocker does not work on 4.2 now it does show up on the disc channel (it didnt before) but after about a minute the screen goes black and it says unable to read the game.

ive checked on some of the forums with people having similar problems but none of them have solutions or they just stop having feedback :(

Sorry for digging out an old thread, but I have the exact same problem and wondering if there's anything that can be done to fix this?
