Motivation alone is not enough. If you have an idiot and you motivate him, now you have a motivated idiot.

Will there even be an update? Some people say the wiikey team will not waste time on making updates because they are working on the wiikey fusion. Is that true?
Why is it so hard to make this update? I've heard people saying that bypassing this new copy protection is relatively simple. Why is it taking them such a long time compared to the homebrew scene?

because its harder to fix for a chip as the need to update the firmware, the main problem being that, even though the fix is very simple, if its not done in the right way then more updates may be needed later, also, it may make it easy for N to patch the fix if its not done right. The homebrew method is easy as we dont mind updating lots, its no hassle on a softmodded system.

i would think that all/most chip manufacturers will update.

Already confirmed is Flatmii, drivekey, and wasabi.

buy the original, since I mod my Wii it's the first game I bought, after downloading more than 100 games it's not bad and when I'm gonna be tired of playing it I can resell it to anyone who got a Wii, mod or not.

I read in some other forum/post that according to some guy, he might
be an insider, or he might just be someone wanting to create rumors.

But according to him there will be an update for wiikey 2
in late december / early january that will solve the problem with nsmb.
There is already a update for drivekey so i guess why not.

If anyone can support this / confirm then please do so.

I highly doubt that they will release a firmware update just for NSMB game. Im pretty sure that most of the developers are waiting to get more information about it so they can release an update that will fix all BCA games in the future. But as for now the only BCA games are NSMB and Avatar. Oh and if your using a wiikey1 then I am 99% sure that you will NOT be getting a firmware update.

Of course the update will not be only be about fixing the nsmb problem
with some "bad written jumbo mojo work around fix" that will only apply
    to nsmb.
It will instead fix the BCA and by doing that it will fix the nsmb /avatar
problem among with other games that will have same protection.

But as i mention before, there is already a fix for this if you have
drivekey so i se no reason for other to come out with thier updates too.
But if that drivekey-fix is a "bad written jumbo mojo work around fix" only
to work with nsmb or a good solution that takes care of BCA,
    well i have no clue.

And i dont know if there will be some update for Wiikey1, but if there is one
then i bet it will at least cover WK2, hopefully both.

I guess we have to see after X-mas, maybe santa have a special gift =)
