I am in the same position as you... wiikey2 and never a problem till NSMB. I have been scouring the net for the past few days for a fix, explination, or anything....and even sent wiikey team several e-mails asking them to atleast aknowledge the problem on their site and post a ETA on solution. It seems to be that you either need to give in and softmod (which i dont want to do) or wait.... (which i also dont want to do).

Just to update, I updated all the IOS's up to 70.. NSMB plays just fine. Will try Sports Resort by end of night.

How did you updated the IOS ?
Can you give a link to all the 70 ?

Loaded on SD, installed with wad manager through HBC.

Do you just use wad installer to install ios70-64-v6687.wad and that's it to get have all IOS70? Do I need to also install IOS other IOS too or does the IOS70 cover all the ones up to it? Thanks!!

I think you have to install them all..

BTW, update.. NSMB doesn't work. It only plays for 10 minutes then I get the "invalid disc" screen. Still trying to find a fix.

But looks like everything else plays fine. I don't have the motionplus controllers yet to test WSR, but it fires up.

Same issue here. System 4.2u, Wiikey 2. Unpatched NSMB plays for a few minutes, then gets the disc error screen.

the drivekey mod chip has a j-tag connection on it that allows the chip to be updated with the latest sortware to fix problems with playing such titles as nsmb,,

but no one can really say about an update as drivekey has not officially said they going to release one..

is there going to be an official update to the wiikey version 1? i really don't want to softmod.
