Ok thank you for reading my thread. I have a problem with my modded wii. I use rawdump to backup my wii games. I have done this dozen of times before but lately my backup copies are not working in my wii. Tried to reinstall rawdump and tried again with no luck. I use nero to burn them. Tried with imgburn also with no luck. Does the mod chip have to be updated. If so how. I don't know why all of the sudden my latest backups don't work. Thanks again.
Do you get a black screen, disk read error? What is going on? If you have black screen your wii is missing required ios for the game to run. Read errors are bad disks or bad dumps.
No black screen. the screen is white with a cd and a ? mark in the middle. The message reads unable to read the disk. Check the wii operations manuel for help troubleshooting. I tried to dump that game more than once thinking that it was a bad dump. All the files on the wii are always the same. 4.37 GB.
Verify the burn in imgburn, if it fails your burner could be bad or your disks. If you could test the disk in another wii you could confim if it is your burn or perhaps your wii drive is going out, try to lay your wii flat and see if that helps.
Best solution would be to loss the disks entiraly and load from usb.

Just have a current cios and install a usbloader to your sd card. You will need a compatable hard drive, and wbfs manager to copy the iso's to your hd.

I have this black screen - the last two games I tried to play gave me the black screen. What is an ios an how do I install it? I must have burned at least 6 DVD's with Nero and Imgburn at different speeds, black screen on all of them.Quote:
