I get this error when launching TBR. Do I do the following steps and skip TBR, or what do I do?.

I suspect something is amiss with your Wii. I ran through the process myself and received no errors.

This just makes me more convinced you have cIOSCORP installed.

If you want to install hbc you will have to locate and run an uncioscorp application to run using bannerbomb to remove this nasty application from your Wii. cIOSCORP makes it such that you can't downgrade or change any IOS using normal methods. I can't work out why you need cIOSCORP as your modchip is all you need to play backups in disc channel.

You need to look at maybe this http://www.wiihacks.com/wii-custom-s...-3-3-here.html

The latest cIOSCORP is 3.4 and apparently that come with uninstall routines.

    cIOSCORP is Fail.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

Is there a way to tell if I have cioscorp installed? The guy assured me that all he did was install the chip, an prior to that I never did any mods and I bought the Wii brand new myself. I don't know why I am having problems either

Hi Tealc, got your PM, no problem mate.

OP - To see if you have Cioscorp installed.

The most famous of WAD's to cause problems when Cioscorp is installed is IOS36-64-v1042.wad( This is the WAD file that is used to install hackmii installer) When Cioscorp is installed this IOS will become cIOS36-v3094-v3.4.wad and will prevent you from running the Hackmii installer( you will receive error message about no vulnerable IOS'' )Do you receive this message when trying to run Hackmii installer? If so then you most probably have Ciscorp installed as this is the only Software to Patch IOS36.

    So how to remove it.

Well none of the previous uninstallers before V3.4 are any good from waht im hearing, so best bet would be, upgrade your current Cioscorp to V3.4 by running the Cioscorp Installer in the 3.4 package. Once complete you can then Run the UN-installer that is also included and this will overwrite all CIOS that Cioscorp installed with the proper IOS's. This is the safest way in doing it.

Do NOT delete any IOS by yourself. Ever!
EDIT : Just read the full thread - Is your Wii the equivalent of a European LU64. IF so you have to use Cioscorp 3.4 to upgrade then un-install all other Cioscorps are non compatible.

FOR THE LATEST VERSION OF CIOSCORP AND THE UN-INSTALLER , SEND A BLANK E-MAIL TO cioscorp@thewebpost.net

YOU WILL THEN RECEIVE AN E-MAIL BACK WITH THE DOWNLOAD LINKS

Exclamation Bit of info on CIOSCORP !

I know a lot of people on here are dead against Cioscorp, mostly because they don't fully understand it. They assume because it overwrites IOS's with Cios's it is extremely dangerous. THIS IS NOT TRUE.

So here is some facts that will help you make an EDUCATED decision :

As a person who can build there own Cios's( the exact ones in Cioscorp) i know exactly what goes into them. Although it is correct in saying that these Cios's overwrite your IOS's they DO NOT actually change the data. I will explain...

A Cios is basically a normal, run of the mill , IOS that has basically 2 or 3 things done to it.

    1. In order for the Custom IOS (Cios) to play backups, you need to patch it with the REV14 DIP module, this is the module from the the CIOS36/38_REV14 you already have installed on your Wii (IOS249) WHICH IS COMPLETELY SAFE.

    2. Also for backups to play and sometimes for other APP's to work Correctly i also would need to patch the Cios with the Trucha Bug. not a big deal, we use TBR in our every day soft modding.

    3. And finally i would patch it with the ES_DIVERSITY patch also known as NAND permission patch. Not all Cios's require these patches in fact only a few require the 3 patches with the majority of the Cios's only requiring to be patched with the DIP module.

So what you are basically doing when installing Cioscorp is installing a normal IOS( one you get from Nintendo ) that has basically had some info added to it. No information on the original IOS has been changed just information added. So Installing Cioscorp Is not dumb or stupid in anyway, you aren't changing System files, you are adding data to them, data that you would already have on any giving soft modded Wi (TBR, DIP MODULE FROM IOS249, PERMISSION PATCH)

So where does the danger lie? Well basically the danger is in the bit between the installer starting and finishing, if your wii was in anyway to lose power or Stall, which as yet i have NEVER herd an account of happening, then your wii MAY brick, so having Bootmii as BOOT2 is essential. BUT this is not the fault of Cioscorp, because if you had a list of IOS'S that you wished to install and the same thing happened with a power cut, then then you face the exact same scenario, whether its IOS's or Cios's you are installing.

Hope this goes some way to helping some people

This should be a guide LOL

Thanks, I'll try updating and then uninstalling...
so I just extract the Cioscorp v3.4 onto SD and run the loader from SD channels?

I haven't done this yet, so I'm trying to get a grasp on how to get this done.

    My serial number is LU53xxxxxx[1].

This may have been covered somewhere else, but I have been reading so many threads that it's all getting convoluted.

Can you post the detailed instructions on what to do, step by step?. thanks!

oh and to give some clarification on what I am trying to do:

I would like to get an external HD and put my backups on there, rather than burning DVDs.

Put both the cIOSCORP_v3.4_Main_Installer and the Cioscorp Un-installer in the apps directory of your SD card. Put the CORPv3.4 folder in the root of your sd card.

Go to HBC, load the Cioscorp installer and let it run through its installation, DO NOT TURN THE POWER OFF IN ANY WAY DURING THIS PROCESS

Once complete, exit out of the HBC and check everything is normal with your wii

Now if your sure you wish to un-install again, go back to the HBC and this time run the uninstaller, this will replace all the cioscorp Cios's with the original IOS.

Once again do not interrupt this process in anyway. Once complete you will be back to normal. You can now test backups in the disc channel to see if you do have a modChip.

Please note that you choose to do this, and i in no way except any responsibility for your wii or any damage caused

P.S i take it you have FULL brick protection before doing this??

    Good Luck!!

You see, there in lies the problem. I do not have HBC installed right now, so I can't run any HBC programs. In terms of FULL brick protection, I don't know how to do that, so nope. I am guessing it is a HBC app that gives full brick protection?.
