Genuine Wiikey2 (solderless) wants to update FW for Wii Sports Resort?

So when I put the Wii Sports Resort DVD (I burned - see release info below) in, it appears as "Update" and when I click on it, it tells me it wants to update my firmware and if I have any mod chips it may brick it. Has anyone done the update? Can I do it? help?

    I have a D2E drive and v3.4U fw now.

If the game is in your region and if you DON'T have homebrew installed then there is no update yet that stops modchips from working.

    This time i made sure....

What if I have homebrew installed?
I have a Wii with 4.1E firmware and WiiKey2 installed.
Guitar Hero 5 and Wii Sports Resort ask me to update... I still haven't done anything because I don't want to break anything.
Will updating stop the softmod from working?
    Thanks

Hey man.....I don't know what goes on here, but I seem to be answering a lot of posts for the experts around here...lol. anyway on to your issue.First off if the discs are original and from your region then go ahead and update. All it does is install the correct IOS that is required by the games. If its a back up then I would not do it.there is always a danger of the disc not having the update and if that happens you will partiallly brick your wii.So rule is update only on originals from your region. Now as far as the softmod goes, have you tried installing the correct IOS that is required for the game? check the tutorials for the correct ones. Also I don't think the update from the discs will kill any softmod because you are not going to update any firmware. you will still be on 4.1 after updating from the discs. As far as I know there is no games yet that requires 4.2 system firmware.hope this helps

Thanks man... but what do you mean when you say that backups might not have the update?
I have bootmii installed, and i have made a copy of my current NAND, so if I brick I can still go back reinstalling my NAND backup, right?
