Help with Wii de Asobu: Metroid Prime

Hello there, I've gained a lot of knowledge out of reading posts around the boards here, but this is my first time posting. I'm running a WiiKey, and I'm assuming that it is the latest version - I know that I can run SMG, but not sure about an original brawl disc, i know that the burned copy does work though.

Anyways I got Wii de Asobu: Metroid Prime and when I put it in the Wii, it tells me that I need to update in order to play it. It also mentions that if you have a hardware modification it could disable the Wii.

What can I do to play this game? Will updating ruin my Wii? If I do this, is there anyway to recover from it using some tools with the Wiikey?

Also - I'm not sure what version of Wii I have, how can I check? Thanks a lot!

To stop games from updating, just download Starfall for the Wii. Make sure your system menu is at 3.2(insert your region here)

To check what version you have, Go to your Wii Options and click Settings. It should say what version you have along the top of the screen.

What the noob is trying to say is , install starfall downgrade to 3.2, then make it so it blocks updates.

What my compadre was attempting to point out is do not tell people what to do..... make it a suggestion
for example "this is what I have done........xxxxx"

It may have seemed harsh, but
We have seen examples of people with 1 post telling others to format their Wii, causing all manner of problems, when in reality they only needed a missing IOS
Have you used the search function ? used the Tutorial section ?

Did you know you can donate to help the running of this forum ?
