Just aquired a Wiikey2 modded wii, not sure whuch direction to go now.

My friend just gave me his old wii, with the wiikey2. I've dealt with softmods before, but that was about 5 years ago. I'm basically lost when it comes to wii homebrew now. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it.

It only has the homebrew channel and a menu patcher on it now. v3.3u

You will want to update your mod using Softmod Any Wii guide, which is linked in my signature.

I don't know anything about hard mod chips. Sorry I can't help you there.

I have no first-hand experience but an E-How link may be helpful:

There's really no need to do anything with the chip at all. The only thing that will let you do is play Wii games directly from backups. There's no need to update the chip at all if you softmod.

I have a hardmod in one of my wiis.

    Blu

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note III. Blame any spelling mistakes on Swype.
