Is it pretty easy to remove the PCB from the drive. A new D2C is pretty cheap from the list you sent spik.

I have never taken off the pcb of the drive because I use paint stripper method so I just leave the pcb attached to the drive.

What do you have to do to remove it? Desolder those wires that are attached and then unscrew and remove? Is there a guide somewhere on how to do that. It doesn't seem like it would be too hard to do.

Yep, that's it.. just de-solder those wires, disconect the remaining wires and unscrew..
And that's all u gotta do.. Perhaps there may be a guide out there.. but never looked for
it.. Seemed easy when I thought of doing it.. then i did.. "yeah it was easy"..
You can do it too.. Try it.. just careful..

Just a comment: If any electronic device runs for a while then stops, then after being off for a while runs again, the problem is very often something overheating. In this case I would look for a short somewhere, either a hard short by a solder bridge or an intermittent one by a nick in wire insulation or similar. A short could cause excessive power drain from the voltage regulator which could overheat it and trigger its internal thermal shutdown.

Hahah yup, I don't see how he doesn't need to worry about an issue if the solution is always unplugging the power cable.

I mean ya it works but wouldn't that make you worry about the future of your console?
