Question Advice on playing NTSC games on PAL

    Hello.

I've just installed a Wiikey 2 modchip into my PAL Wii. If i were to get hold of some imported games which are NTSC format would there be any issues and i've heard that it can brick your Wii or something?

    Any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks.

    What firmware do you have?

You'll need to install homebrew, then install gamma backup loader, or use gecko os

Thanks for your reply. Do you mean firmware on my Wii? On the settings it says Ver 3.4E at the top. If you mean firmware on wiikey2 i'm not sure, how would i find out? I've played a backed up PAL game ok.

    Thanks again.

    Thanks for your reply.

Would using the brick blocker not do it for me?

I've just been checking out the updates on the wiikey website and spotted this too:
[2008.11.11] Update v1.2 Released - Update Blocker Feature Added!

(which i presume does the same job as the link in the post above). How can i find out what firmware i have on the chip, i only brought it 2 weeks ago.

    Thanks.

how did you think i was telling you to block the update -.-

reguardless you need the disc, to update, and to activitate it

    1 time installs
every time after messes with the settings

    Thanks for the reply.

I am doing it now. Are these choices correct:
    Region Patcher - on
    audio fix - on
    original read speed - 6x
original DL read speed - 6x
    backup read speed - 6x
BL backup read speed - 6x
allow system upgrade - EUR (other options were ALL and NONE)

Thanks again, i just want to make sure
