The SD card works in CPU and in the factory SD slot of the Wii. I will reinstall the fusion chip and see if I can get it to work in the fusion SD reader.

take your time to ensure the install is done correctly.. also is the chip up to date?

The chip has not been updated by me....I can not get to the menu to do so. I reinstalled the chip and these are my results:

    1. The Wii will now play factory discs and burnt discs (I can play a backup of NSMB) - this tells me that the chip is working-
    2. When I put an SD card in the fusion SD reader the dvd disables as it should.
    3. There is no GC menu that appears. I have tried 3 different SD cards.

I am at a loss of what to try next. I am fairly confident that I have formatted and am using wbfs correctly. Any ideas anyone?

yes. The fusion chip has a cable with an SD reader attached to it. When I put an SD card in it disables the drive (as it is emulating the drive) so I believe the chip and reader are working. Any help would be great.

    Ca

If you check the wii key fusion website many items have shipped with the wrong cable going to your fusion sd reader. Im 99 percent sure this is your problem.

I remember when I first installed my fusion I put in a random sd card that was not formatted and had not games on it and the gamecube image came up. It should always come up if a card is present.

You need to get a new cable bro.... go to the wiikey website and they describe what a bad and what a good cable looks like.

    Your welcome.
