My wii had never update before .frist gen machine, still using ver 2.0 I guess.
do I need a new wii firmwire to use with wiikey fusion?
2. can north-american version of wii only play usa iso game ? is it ok to play PAL version game? if i using a componment video output. does it made any difference?
3. is kind of tight to put that wiikey chip in between the dvd-rom / motherboard. is it everybody doing the same thing ? is it ok the fold that flat cable wire?
1.Do not update above 4.1[best to use is a disc with 4.1 update on it.. like New Super Mario Bros
2.4.2+ will block the modchip from playing other region games

Did you mean I need a 4.1 update to work with the wii fusion? wii fusion best with the 4.1 ? & don't go any higher than 4.1? if i stay with 2.0 is it ok?
the 4.1 can found at New Super Mario Bros org wii dvd disc?
You can play games and stay with 2.0...you ll need to install a lot of ios...so you can run games...no sd card menu.....| Nintendo - Customer Service | Wii - Wii System Menu and Feature Updates
I recommend you take the update to 4.1 from a disc.....then use joostins update your ios guide linked in my signature....
you will need to use the block updates feature in wiikey fusion so when you put a disc with 4.2+system menu it wont ask for an update first...

yep it should come with wii update on the disc channel....
no you dont need to remove it
