Ok thanks again I'll give that a try. If that fails what do you think would be the issue? Bad chip, bad cable (to sd reader) or the worst of all bad installer me LOL. let me know were you would start to track the error.

Mine is still not working (4.3u) after doing the softmod from Mauifrog (which works great btw!). Now not only do the DVD drive doesn't work at all (I've checked all the connections to make sure it was plugged in properly and it is) and I can't load a game from the SD card itself. I see it, in this case PunchOut! but the reset button just freezes everything when I hold it to play.

Now I'm thinking about upgrading the fw but if I can't even play a game and my dvd drive doesn't work, I don't know if I can do it or not...

i have a very good feeling you need to diconnect your fusion chip and downgrade to firmware 4.1, I know 4.3 is NFG for all mod-ers please do not ask me how to downgrade as i am still researching it myself all i can say is take a look at u-tube

4.2 and higher, you are going to have to use the softmod guide to remove the stubs, etc. before you can use the wiikey fusion. Read the second page, I already explained it.

And NO, you don't have to downgrade to use it.

    Hello,

I bought a wiikey fusion mod-chip for my wii console. My wii is D2C version. The problem is that when I put wiikey fusion on my console, DVD-drive stop working. It won't take discs in or doesn't seem to work at all. There is no lights on mod-chip what so ever. I have connected cables correctly, DVD goes to DVD-drive and HOST to motherboard. I have heard that DVD-drive doesn't work when there is a SD-card in wiikey fusion's SD-reader but I have nothing in there. I have heard that some other people are having the same problem but I haven't been able to find the solution. My console is pal and pal dip-switches are as they should be, all on.

Thank you for your help. I would love if somebody could help me. I am loosing my mind because it's not working.

The drive is set into standby if the wiikey fusion gamecube disc shows up. You have to press eject until it wakes up the drive, then you can insert a disc. You can also insert a disc within booting up the wii, otherwise the drive will not accept any discs when the wiikey fusion kicks in. The wiikey fusion is a hardware disc drive emulator, that is why it puts the drive to sleep when in use.

    Hello trikon000,

There is only normal wii and camecube disc icons on disc channel. When I push eject few times it goes to Wiikey Fusion setup. Before the setup camecube sign appers and when I click play the game it goes to wiikey fusion setup. What I am doing wrongly?

    Thanks guys.

Try inserting a disc when your starting up from a cold boot (after you unplugged the power cord and plugged it back in).

Thanks. Disc drive works after that but it's reading nothing. It doesn't even try to read anything. Those two discs that are on disc channel are not spinning at all.

Then you have to check the ribbon cable between the wiikey fusion and the disc drive.

This is one of the things you have to check that works before putting the wii back together.
