Using CFG, this is what I get:

    [+] select WBFS device:
< USB Mass Storge Device >

    ((press A to select)) ...

    [+] WARNING:

Partition: auto not found! Select a different partition or format a WBFS partition.

((press A button to select a partition))

    [+] Select a partition:
[ USB Mass Storage Device ]

    P# Size(GB) Type Mount Used
    -----------------------------------
    >>P#1 0.00 UNUSED
    P#2 0.00 UNUSED
    P#3 0.00 UNUSED
    P#3 0.00 UNUSED

Press A button to select. ((does nothing))
Press B button to go back.
Press 2 button to sync FAT. ((does some small process, changes nothing))
Press + button to format WBFS ((nothing happens))
Press - button to delete FS.

I hope this gives you some idea of what's happened.. and no amount of bashing the A button will load anything, I'm afraid :/

Use wii backup manager or wbfs manager on your pc. These will both format your stick.

After you have it all downloaded and open, plug your stick in and hit the refresh drive list. After that find you drive letter and open it and format it!

Exactly the same thing happened when I used WBFS manager! I'm getting to despair now, is it likely that my Flash stick is faulty, or is it a formatting/software issue? It's interesting that when I plug the stick back into my netbook to try again, windows pops up and says it needs formatting before I can use it..

Did you format with the wbfs manager? If so plug it in the Wii and open your usb loader and rip a game to it. Your pc will not recognize the wbfs thats why its telling you to format it. Dont!

I just FAT32 formatted it, stuck a game on with Game Manager and loaded CFG .. get a slightly different result now: it will load the CFG menu with the music, but it says my USB device is FAT1 formatted and it can't find any game. I tried ripping a game from a Wii disc like you said, but it froze at 0.03% and appears to be staying frozen. What the hell's up with this thing?

As for WBFS formatting it, if I do that I can't get to the main menu with music (see the error screens I typed out previously) so no can do. :/
