Formatting and Partitioning 16Gb USB stick

Hi all,
I've been reading and trying to follow a couple of USB loader tuts, but I have a flash drive stick rather than an actual HDD. I'm not exactly a software guru, so a lot of this has been stumbing around, but I've got RM Prep USB and I'm trying to format and partition it that way, but I'm not sure if it's doing what it's supposed to. There are a total of six steps in the program's process, but the options that you can select from might as well be in Swahili.

So what I'm asking is, can someone from you awesome compter demi-gods either give me some pointers on what to do, or point me to a tutorial that could help? I'm chomping at the bit to start using the USB loader, and I'm totally lost!

It doesn't really pay to format a 16gb stick. How many games are you planning to put on there? Just format it to Fat32 or NTFS and plug it in the Wii and open your usb loader and rip the games!

Just format it with windows fat32 default allocation size stick some back ups on it and try it
Not a whole lot more to do than that

Sorry Guys But I beg to Differ, You must either run your apps on an SD card, Or you can put them onto the root of the flash/pen usb stick, If you can just put games on a Flash and play them I also want to know HOW, Take a look at theFAT32 guide.http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...ide-fat32.html

So what I do doesnt work and Im imagining playing Skyward Sword ffrom a backup right now? LOL

That guide is the right place to go I must agree sorry was just being funny

Other than that I dont do anything to my usb drive other than format them with windows and use Wbfs manager to put the backups on it that I have saved on my computer

Which no they weren't pirated I like to keep a copy on hand makes things quicker if there is trouble

Just format the usb stick to fat32. You will need an apps folder on your SD or usb device (like grandpa said) containing one of the usb loader apps. You can use a game manager to transfer the game to your usb device via your pc, or you can use the loader on the Wii along with the original disc you claim to have to rip it to the usb device. All of this assumes you are properly modded and your usb device is compatible.

But when I try to load from USB, using CFG loader or NeoGamma, it tells me there's no WBFS partition found, and that's it. I even tried completely reformatting the drive and doing it again, carefully, with the same result. I partitioned using EaseUS and then added the files onto a WBFS subfolder using Wii Game Manager, exactly as instructed. I'd softmodded the Wii using Mauifrog's softmodder, which went very smoothly.. but the USB loading is a nightmare. What am I doing wrong? Thank you for any help or advice - I've been at this for hours!!

I cant remember exactly how you set the options but if you just hit the A button a few times when it says that you get the option to tell it to use the fat32 partition

SorryIve been using a different loader lately
theres a guide for fcfg usb loader someplace here
And neogamma is for discs

Im really trying to help guys Im just not good at explaining things
