    Question Noob here! Reatil Zelda + Wii

    Hi all, im planing to buy a new Wii and Skyward Sword retail disc... I heard that Zelda will update and brick your wii if it have homebrew, but can i Install the patch first and than install Homebrew later??? Coz i want to finish zelda original SS first and later install Homebrew on my wii without bricking it...

    Sorry for my bad English, i hope this is the right section for asking this...

    Have you already softmodded your Wii?

    Nope i dont own a wii, im going to buy one soon. I asked can i install homebrew on a virgin wii after the update from the Disc, or maybe the new wii comes with the latest update...

    you can play the retail game without softmod safely

    You dont understand me, i want to know is it possible to softmod wii after i finish retail zelda?

    Yes, you can even softmod it using the Softmod Any Wii guide and it will still play the game. It doesn't matter as long as you follow the guide. The new Wii will most likley have the latest 4.3 firmware already!
