    Spoiler

is there a chance that another usbloader will work? i google a lot but most are old threats but no answer to my problem. any help please

Are you sure it's connected to the USB port closest to the edge

When it gives that message unplug the hdd and then plug it back in

Sent from my iPad using WiiHacks

i had a hard drive with the same prob and the only way i got cfg to read it was to install cios 248 with a base 58... the only prob with that is not all games will work...just about 1/2 of mine worked also it will be a lot slower load times.

Your issue more than likely has to do with the version of the 248 base 58 you installed fixing the issue. I bet installing 248 base 56 would solve the majority of your loading problems. I believe the OPs issue is different.

@kudisa, edit the sd\usb-loader\config.txt file to read ios = 222 then try loading CFG again.

LOL - I had just woken up

Gently insert SD card into your computer and edit it with notepad.

    That better?
