Can SD cards be used in place of a USB drive (for NeoGamma) ?

Hello there, I've been lurking around the threads for a good while but haven't found a post that explains what I'd like to know, so I'm posting a question - feel free to redirect me if I've missed a relevant thread!

Okay, so here's what I was wondering. This guide http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...ide-fat32.html is great, and I'd follow it but i don't have a USB drive, i only have SD and SDHC cards. The loader I'm trying to use is NeoGamma R9 b52, and it does have the option to run from SD/SDHC. Is there a guide somewhere on Wiihacks that I've missed that can explain it? As you can tell, I'm completely new, but I did manage to softmod my Wii in one go without having any issues, hehe. Thanks in advance, lovely brainiacs :)

I don't think NoeGamma supports FAT32. Other loaders like WiiFlow, Configurable USB Loader, and USB Loader GX do, though. And I believe all of those ones I mentioned support SD/SDHC cards (I know WiiFlow does). Just load up your USB loader, direct it to the SD card (will be an options in the loader's settings) and rip your games.

Yep, it is, but when I select that option it says "No WBFS partition found". That's why I was wondering, can I just use the USB guide for my SD card, or would the procedure to partition it or something be different?

Okay, I tried 'USB Loader', but I'm assuming this isn't the same as the 'Configurable USB Loader' that you mentioned because it crashes when I run it and it doesn't seem able to be configured. I'll go and find WiiFlow and install that, then try again. Thanks for the info.

If you have a loader crashing then something is wrong.. either the install or a cIOS issue..

Well, I'm assuming it's a crash because it just goes to an image of the Wii logo and remote buttons over a grey and black background.. i thought it was a loading screen but that's really all it is. I need to reset my Wii to get off it.

Yeah, it's the USB Loader channel that's there after Mauifrog's softmod installation,alongside NeoGamma.

That channel is just a forwarder. It requires an actual app on the SD card (it will load any of the three I mentioned earlier).
