    Is this HDD compatible for wii backup.

    is this hdd compatible for wii backup

    640gb Toshiba MK5640GSX sata 2.5 / 320gb Western digital scorpio 2.5 sata?

    sorry ddnt see it in the usb compatible list

    i dont know if this will work, need help thanks in advance.

    If it's not on the list, either buy it and test it out or be safe and get one that is known to be compatible.

    my problem is it has no compatible warranty thats why im asking here, i want to invest on something that works...

    in the first place im not a rich guy, i saw this in cheap price and its brand new, thats why im asking.

    btw i know what you mean and i just want to make sure, thanks for the reply dude.

    I hear you. You can get a compatible 1TB for about $100, which is pretty good.

    btw is it true that 1 tb is not advisable for wii backup? someone says it can destroy your wii.

    hes from another site, he help me also solve my problem with my games not working and the problem is my broken fake usb dongle, sorry i cant quote him.

    1tb hard drives are fine to use with the wii.

    To fix your fake flash drive use RMPrepUSB. Open it with your usb drive plugged in, then click Quick Size Test. Then when it is done it will tell you the real size of the drive. "1xxxMiB" put that number in the box "Partition Size (MiB). Click a check in boxes "Boot as HDD" and "Force use of LBA calss". Then click "Prepare Drive" and wait for it to finish.

    Then wahoo!! Your fake usb dongle will work fine as the size it is supposed to be. I just did this on a fake Kingston 256gb Datatraveler I bought on ebay. I should of known it was to good to be true at $14.99. LOL. After using this program it turned it into a 2 gb drive. But at least it works how it should now.
