    Help please

I checked my wiis serial number in the database and this is what ive come up with: There is a 50% chance the chipset is GC2-D2B with cut pins and missing third pad.
And there is also a 50% chance the chipset is GC2-D2B with cut pins.

Now i was wondering if this would prevent my wii from playing backup games? And if not, i am totally lost.

I seem to be having some issues because i did softmod my wii using maui frogs "softmod any wii" guide. Im running 4.3u.. the serial starts with LU51. However, this wii will not load any burned game..it doesn't show it in the disc channel when i put the disc in and ive tried to load it several times with Neogamma. I have another wii that i softmodded last may (LU50 with a dms drive) that loads all of the burned games (they show in the disc channel as soon as i put them in and no i never installed darkcorps) that i am trying in this LU51 wii... I'm just trying to figure out why why this wii will not load backup games. If any1 could help me, that would be awesome!

That drive should play backups. Does it play originals fine? Did you buy the wii new or used? Someone could of changed the drive.

If you follow the softmod any wii guide, and it doesn't load backup discs, and these same discs work in your other Wii, I would guess that maybe a previous owner switched the drive.

If you post a system check with the latest sysCheck v2.1.0 b15, It will show the drive date. The only other thing is to open up your wii and look at the drive and compare to pics to see which one it is.

I see the drive date says May 26, 2006. Which should definitely play backup discs. I don't know if syscheck gets that info from the drive itself or from the Wii. I'll have to look into that.

Your syscheck looks like it should.

As long as you didn't get a d3-2 or d4 drive, it will play backup discs.

If you do switch the drive out, let me know what drive you find inside. It's kinda bugging me now.
