    SD card layout

I'm using a 4.3u with HBC, Bootmii, usbloader gx installed installed using letterbomb with internet. The only CIOs is d2x and I'm confused where the .dol and .wads should go. I had it working but I had to go to HBC and hit the loader install every time. Please check my sd card layout.

The original goal was to have a channel for each game!

the wad folder with the D2x should be on the root of the sd ard.. then install with a wad manager..

A quick disclaimer: Unless you have a wii with bootmii installed as boot2, installing a bunch of channels on the system menu for each game is a bit risky. Instead, you should consider using priiloader to autoboot to a loader, and go from there.

Having said that, wads are installed in your console. Once installed they dont need to be on the card anymore. Applications that are run (like wad manager) need to be in their own folder under apps, and named boot.dol. so yours would be /apps/WadManager/boot.dol. HBC wont find any apps that dont follow this.

A channel for each game ! ?? Have a look at using a HDD You can then have GX CFG loader channels on the wii menu(home page) You then click it click game picture and play. keeps things tidy. you only need the apps for the loaders of your choice on root of hard drive. Take out the SD card with all other useful apps and keep it safe.
Helps to stop the risk of meddling moochers. Then pick up and move HBC channel as far right as possible. You set it up following the guide in my sig,

Thank you for the great response!
I definitely want to end up just using the usb drive method Grandpa suggested.
Should I stop now and copy the SD card and then format it and start over with the guide? Or is this saveable? Could I harm the Wii doing this, I remember hearing don't uninstall anything!

Stop and read plenty. Save whatever you have on SD card. Format it and yes you can start over. It will overwrite the old stuff. If you have HBC just work from that point in the mod any wii guide.Do make a nand backup ( and save it somewhere safe) install system menu 4.1. Then the cios add a couple of USB channels CFG & GX then priiloader. Format your HDD to FAT32. make sure it's marked Primary & Active. download and install to root the apps to support the usb loaders. Start Ripping your games to your drive, Make sure your wifi is setup and install cover art. That's about it.
