    wii flow resetting

    hi, i followed mauis guide and im at 4.3u. usbloader works fine but i wanted to upgrade to wiiflow. i followed ithian's guide but when i downloaded r25 pack the wiiflow folder did not have a .dol file. am i suppose to find that somewhere else or download it seprate. the guide states
    "Forwarder looks for these exact paths (in this order):
    * SD:\apps\wiiflow\boot.dol
    * SD:\wiiflow\boot.dol
    * USB:\apps\wiiflow\boot.dol
    * USB:\wiiflow\boot.dol"

    i put the files on my SD card.
    SD:\apps\wiiflow\boot.dol is there but SD:\wiiflow\boot.dol isnt there.

    I tired to put the .dol file that was in the apps folder in the wiiflow folder and i get "WBFS_OPEN failed : -1. Anyone have any ideas?

    Follow this Wiiflow guide, that one is old.

    I'll just tell you you should only have the boot.dol in the wiiflow folder in the apps folder. the other wiiflow folder should have themes, covers, etc.

    * SD:\apps\wiiflow\boot.dol
    * SD:\wiiflow\
    * USB:\apps\wiiflow\boot.dol
    * USB:\wiiflow\

    Like that /\

    I have no clue what is even going on anymore. please if anyone can help me. What I have done is followed maui's Guide. *Thanks again Maui* and usbloader worked just fine and my version was 4.3U. so i thought that i would follow ithian's guide (thanks Ithian) to install wiiflow through a fowarder. it didnt work so i had asked on this thread how to fix that problem. I followed playerkp420's advice but now the funny thing is when i went to setting under the wii on the system menu it showed me that i had 4.1U???? am i going crazy or is that not right? Maybe i should have installed the .wad via 222 instead of 249???????? here is my syscheck. please if anyone has any ideas and could i still run wiiflow with 4.1U?

    1.) Use a spoiler when posting a syscheck
    2.) Use syscheck 2.1.0b15 when posting syschecks
    3.) Homebrew apps are not SM(System Menu) dependent*. SM 4.2 & 4.3 are security updates to block homebrew/exploits. (AKA: You do not need it and it is not recommended to use 4.2 or 4.3)
    4.) When you follow a guide, read the damn thing and make sure you understand what you're doing.

    Spoiler

    * Does not apply to some homebrew

    like i stated before. i did follow the guide step by step and everything was fine. it was running 4.3U and could play games off my hd. i apoligize that i didnt post my syscheck in a spoiler. still a noob here. and i just did this yesterday so i figured that i would be up to date on everything so i didnt know i didnt have syscheck 2.0.1 beta. back to my previous question. is there anything i can do to get 4.3U back? or should it say 4.1U?? or do i have to start back from scratch?

    There's no reason to use SM 4.3 (U/E/K/J is the symbol used to identify the system menu's region).
    SM 4.1 is recommended. SM 4.2 and 4.3 are security updates to block exploits.

    Did I miss something? What exactly is you're problem/question?
    Did the guide playerkp420 linked you to not fix your issue?

    i got that U/E/K/J stands for the region. but what i was trying to explain is that last night it had said 4.3 under wii/settings on the console. but after trying to install wiiflow a few hours ago it now says 4.1 under the setting on the console. is that normal, or does it not matter? no playerkp420's advice did not do the trick. i just got done doing that it now it is saying wbfs folder can not open error-1. but i have one more question if you would be so kindly. in my system check i saw that 249 does not say USB 2.0. but 222 does. in the guide for wiiflow they give you two different .wad files. 222.wad and 249.wad. I installed 249. should i have installed the 222.wad. and can i install wiiflow with 4.1

    You probably installed SM 4.1 when you followed the "Softmod ANY Wii" guide, so yes, it is normal.
    There is no feature difference between 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3. You will not benefit from installing 4.2 or 4.3.

    As for the Wiiflow stuff, I've never followed that specific guide and I only use Wiiflow when I have issues with GX, so my knowledge on that is limited.
    I suggest using syscheck 2.1.0b15 and posting a syscheck from it. (2.1.0b15 gives a more detailed report of your cIOS which is very helpful.)

    From what I can tell from that syscheck, it looks like you still have cIOS 249 with a base of 38, which is not recommended for Wiiflow.
    I'm not sure how Wiiflow detects and selects cIOS, but I highly recommened following the d2x cIOS installation guide (It installs the cIOS with the bases Wiiflow expects)

    I recommend following the 2nd method, "As Was Files". This is faster and makes sure that your bases are correct.
