Reading HDD on Wii
Hello everybody I'm new from the community, and I would like an help.
I bought a Seagate ( i think it was seagate...yes ) and I connected it to an external box ( Atlantis Land ). It is a SATA hdd.
The problem is that I format it with Wii Backup Manager in WBFS and I paste into it a game. On the pc works fine but when I try to
connect it to the Wii and I run Cfg Loader it keeps stuck and doesn't load the HDD. If I try wiiflow it loads my channel but not the hdd.
This happens only in the Wii, on my pc the HDD works just fine.
Help please :)
Make sure your drive is primary and active. You should also make sure it is compatible as well as the enclosure.
btw...this has nothing to do with the section you posted it, I am moving it to the newbie forum.
Oh sorry for have posted it in the wrong section :)
Btw what you mean for primary?
Look at THIS guide to set up your hdd. There is no need for wbfs format anymore.
Mhm meh, FAT32 isn't up to 80GB only? :S
no, works fine on my 1.5TB
Yeah I mean, for getting a FAT32 system I should resize the space by making another partitions, otherwise gives me only exFAT
EDIT: Trying this now..
EDIT2: Okay I tried and it doesn't work. It seems it can't read/write games.
Make sure your HDD is in the USB port closest to the edge
Yes I tried both of them and it doesn't work.
I tried with the Verbatim HDD External and works with that, but I would like to make it work with my HDD.
Long story short: I tried NTFS/FAT32 with wbfs folder and I tried WBFS format too, when I load cfg it freezes.
I tried to switch USB and either doesn't work.
I don't know what to do :S
I tried WiiFlow too.
Is the drive a compatible one as Skell has already suggested? Because you followed the fat32 guide I assume that you set the games partition to Primary and Active and not logical... You didn't say...
