incomplete copying disc to USB problem, I need help. PLZ!!!

Anyone else have an incomplete copying problem?

I can get the loaders to start just fine, they just wont copy the discs i have.

I have a compatible USB in the correct slot, i insert a disc (I only own originals, no copies), i select the option to install the disc onto my USB, it begins to install, then...before it finishes installing, it stops (sometimes freezes), says install complete (if it didnt freeze), but wont play the game.

For example. New Super Mario Bros. Wii (.34gb) gets to about 33%, then i hear the disc stop spinning, the meter continues to 37% then instantly says 100% complete.

I also tried installing on the cfg usb loader (not gx) and get the same problem along with a list of errors, the last one saying "warning: read (1116200960) error (-2)" and 40% complete.

    Help me please!!!!

console specs: 2006 white wii 4.3u softmodded with mauifrog's softmod any wii guide

It's been 24hrs so your fine.
Looking at your syscheck, and the drive date,
it seems like your Wii is fairly old, which in turn
leads me to believe that the problem you are
having is wear and tear on the drive.
    It probably needs replacing.

even if the discs play fine on their own?

How long ago did you softmod? Are your cIOS and loaders all up to date?

What flash drive/HDD are you using? Have you tried a different one to make sure it's not a bad drive?
If you've reformatted it and that didn't fix the problem, it's possible there's something wrong with the flash drive/HDD itself.
If you're using a USB HDD and it has a detachable USB cable, have you tried a different cable? (Only about half of my USB cables work 'correctly', though all of them work to some degree.)

Are the discs in good condition? Are they the original discs, not backups? (Newer drives will not rip backups to USB)

These are just a few of many possibilities.

I'm glad everything worked out. I'm guessing by "new USB" you mean a different USB cable? If so, I'm glad it was a simple fix.
