softmodding a Wii 4.3E getting really confused

    hello guys
Im new and getting really confused so i was hoping for some help and a point in the right direction if possible, I am not here to be spoon fed but to learn, so thanx for any help i migfht recieve (hopefully)
I have a white Wii on "4.3E" i have chip "GC2-D2E" so i am under the impression that i use letterbomb, so i followed instructions and got letterbomb on my Wii and ran it and installed Homebrew and bootmii as an iso took nand backup and went to play a game but it says disc error , this is all i have done , apart from uninstalling and reinstalling . also i tried ModMii and followed the instructions on blue screen program and tried installing homebrew and bootmii. but i still get same results the disc wont play , so im stuck now and dont want to brick it as i see that the nand cant be restored so can anyone help me out here and tell me where im going wrong ,.
    thanx again

HBC and bootmii is just the start you still have work to do.

Are you trying a branded game or backup? Maybe your DVD drive is knackered?

I already had a spare HDD so I followed this guide http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html and only have issues with the odd game every now and then. I don't know about 'letterbomb' or 'Modmii', so you may want to seek further help from others, but I followed that guide and it's worked a charm, even over the top of a previous mod.

    Good luck,

    Magic

yw, you need to do this on your PC, not the Wii. i.e. you need the card in the PC, then you select them one at a time. Pay attention to the line 'and any others that you have' as you may have the updated shop channel etc. that need to be checked aswell.

Just keep doing the guide in order, reading everything twice and asking if you're not sure. But yes, there's more to come, wads, priiloader and apps, then to arrange your weapon of choice for loading backups

I need to get off for a while now. The next part, 'wads' is done with the SD card in the Wii, it will make more sense when you start doing it and there's still a bit to do before you're playing backups but nothing too time consuming.
