Thread: Help WII not seeing usb drive

    I tried the drive last nght in another wii all is good with the drive and the usb stick I used it is definatly a wii issue with the port

    You're probably right, but might be worth comparing syschecks from both wii's, maybe you'll be lucky and find something odd with your wii.

    I would think that if the power surge blew out your hdd. Then that port is fried. Not sure exactly how to change the usb ports but I think soldering is required. Maybe a local game repair shop might be able to fix it. But don't pay too much, since you can get a used wii cheap nowadays.

    You can try the latest version of USB Loader GX has a hard drive settings in the settings menu. You can choose port 1 for your drive. I haven't tried it yet, but just noticed it when I updated and thought of you.
