Ripping to Portable Drive ext2 Format

It's taking a very long time to rip with GX. Estimated 3.5 hrs and increasing.
I have a Hitachi 320g drive that is on the list. One ext2 partition.

It seems to be working, just very slowly. Like 175KB/sec.
What can cause a bottleneck like this?

... your drive should be FAT32/NTSC/WBFS.. only one of those 3 choices.

    I am.
I just reformatted to fat32 and the rip is flying. I'm not sure if I missed something in the guide but GX didn't like the server partition at all.

    Thanks.

GX will like the fat32 partition better.

This may deserve another thread but, at the end of the backup, GX hung and did not complete the write. I have over written another ISO version of GX to my SD card and I'm trying it again.
