Run a sysCheck (it needs to be v2.0.1b14). That'll tell you if your drive supports DVD's or not.

its a native 4.3 and when i run wiimc, its gives me a "this model does not support dvd playback". Am I stuck, or is there a fix? back in the day, I used to have to install dvdx wads to make playable. is this one going to lock me out?

The drive is too new. The only fix is to replace the drive with an older model.

I just answered you question in the other thread you posted in. Please stick to one thread when it is the same issue...

You didn't understand whole point of my posting, really wasn't my intention to get faster answer, etc. , i'm not that type of user, like i told i read most of threads here for unlocking, dissambling, dvd playing, etc etc. , i always read before ask, i just posted here about replacment driver, cause somebody suggested that, and would like to hear expirience of that member... Like i told if you think my posts aren't ok, then it's simple just delete them, to make short this unecessary discussion, whos is right etc. , cause always moderator is right, i do same job - moderator, on another forum, and know that

Greetz - If you want to Introduce yourself here (It's for visiting staff from other sites).

What I'm saying is just keep it to the one post and add the question on the end... Someone in the end will answer... Just saves us having to go to another thread when it could have been done in 1..

Mind you don't have to if you don't want to.
