Us Disc Error when playing NSMB wii

I have a softmodded wii running 4.1 (super smash mod):
    1. have been banned from nintendo for updates
    2. Can't play NSMB for longer than 5 min without disc read error.
    3. All other games work fine.

    Please help.

You could try cleaning the drives laser eye with the wii lens cleaner kit.
But seeing how other games are working fine, it could be a bad burn/rip.
Try burning the game again using good DVD-R's, and use imgburn, and burn
    at no faster than 4x.

Wouldn't hurt to clean the laser eye regardless.

Also when you have tried the above check to see if the cooling fan is working. My Wii used to give disc read error when the fan packed in. The games worked fine for 20 to 30 mins and then gave the error. As soon as I felt the Wii I knew something was wrong as it was hot. It took a few days to find it as I assumed it was the childrens dirty finger marks on the discs. Regards Jonathan

I'm assuming it's a backup disc correct? I had the same problem with my backup...I checked around the board and there was a thread that gave a link for an iso patch. After it was patched and burned the game ran fine...
