BootMii help installing on 4.3u using HackMii v0.8 diskless method

I was able to install the Homebrew Channel, but not BootMii. Downloaded the Letterbomb site files two times to make sure I did it correctly. Formatted the SD card with the linked Panasonic tool and with my Windows 7 computer tool as well.

When I run the HackMii files and try to run the BootMii files it tells me:

    HackMii installer v0.8 (c) 2008-2010 Team Twiizers

    Mounting SD card...
    Creating directory '/bootmii'...
    Writing '/bootmii/armboot.bin'...
    Writing '/bootmii/ppcboot.elf'...

    FAILED (-1)

    > Continue

I also tried using the Hackmii -Fix:
but it doesn't let me load the ios for any of the ones included. It just hangs, except 254, all it does is flash the blue light at the entrance to the disk reader.

Anybody have any ideas about what I can try next?

Are you using the correct region for the wii you are modding.

Did you prepare the SD card first?

The HMI is not region dependent.

if by "prepare the SD" you mean format it, I did. Two ways, through the old fashion way using the computer tool and through the suggested file included through the guide that I had to download. I also downloaded the file I needed that included the software designed for my computer, the one where I had to input my Wii MAC address.

Is there another step not included in the guide that I should have performed that would have prepared my SD card?

No, that's not what I mean. In the HackMii Installer select Continue> -> BootMii... -> Prepare a SD card. Then try installing BootMii.

I did go through those steps you just said. Then when I re-enter to the Homebrew channel and hit the Home button on the remote to Launch Bootmii, I get the warning-health and safety warning. There it asks me to press A, but it just kicks me back to the Wii Menu.

I assume that because I was able to install the HomeBrew Channel that I shouldn't have a problem installing and launching Bootmii. I am using a FAT32 formatted 32GB microSD in an adapter. Thanks for the reply.

So after you did those steps did BootMii install successfully?

This is a newbie question... sorry. Here it goes. How do I know it installed? I did not receive any confirmation. I still only have the Home Brew Channel. Will it show up on the Wii Menu?

After I Start the Homebrew Channel and hit home I get the options

    Back
    About
    Launch BootMii
    Exit to System Menu
    Shutdown

When I click on Launch Bootmii it just goes to the health and safety warning then boots me back to the Wii Menu. I cannot go on to the next step which is to do a NAND backup.

I was looking in the SD card through my computer and read in the Readme Bootmii file that it was also suppose to install

    /bootmii
    /bootmii/armboot.bin
    /bootmii/ppcboot.elf
    /bootmii/bootmii.ini

    But I don't have

    /bootmii/bootmii.ini

in my SD card. I think that is the line that I was suppose to have but instead it said

    Failed (-1)

Why would it not get that file installed? What other alternative "letterbomb" can I try that will work on my 4.3U Wii as an alternative? Thanks for all your help.
