won't connect to web... happened soon after MW3 update

Do I need to do a nand restore, or is this a prevalent hardware issue?

Have you tried to reset your router? Unplug modem and router, shut the wii off, wait 15 seconds, plug in modem and router, wait till all the lights are lit, turn on wii.

    I would try that first.

    Here's more details...

PC and droid works on router, so router is fine.

Deleted wireless settings on wii and started new connection with router. Fails test.

Been out of town, but gf's cousin came over to play MW3. He called me because he wanted to play online. I told him it required an update to play, but to go ahead and do it because I figured priiloader wouldn't allow an update of anything dealing with the "essential system stuff" and only would update maps or something or another like that specific to the game. He updated and said everything was fine and was playing online.

Get a call several days later from gf that wii is not connecting online. I told her that possibly that update may have fouled things up and worked only because the wii hadn't been cut off or restarted. I assumed restarting the wii may cause thus issue from the update.

Now I am back home and need to fix this so gf can watch netflix.

    To playerpk420...

Yes I told her to do that over the phone. Haven't done it myself however. Just got back, so i wanted to post this, so i could get ample time for responses before I go and tinker with it.

Not necessarily. My Wii sometimes loses connection when other devices still work. What error code does it fail with?
